Le Blanc de la Dournie

Terroir :
Two hectare is harvested to make “ Le Blanc de La Dournie ” are from grounds of alluvial plain boarding the river.
These rather rich and deep grounds, make it possible type of vines to reach beautiful maturity without stress, supporting the form of the fruit.
Grape Types :
A blend of Viognier, Roussane and Vermentino
The Vineyard :
The pieces are planted with 4 000 feet hectare on average. Cordon pruning with trellising. We use “culture raisonné“ principles in taking care of our vines.
The Harvest :
Manual Harvesting in September with a hand picking on the vineyard. Our yields never go higher than 50hl/ha on average.
Vinification and Maturing :
Once the grapes harvested they are directly pressed then follows a natural juice settling by gravity, then a slow fermentation in vat controlled with racking.
At the end of the fermentation, the wine is kept in vat on the lies with batonage, for 2 at 3 weeks. Still maturing in vat. Light fining and filtration before bottling.
We take great care in the cellar to make wine as naturally as possible.
